From the beginning....

So, I'll start from the beginning of the journey that has been my life for the past nine 1/2 months. The Lord richly blessed me and my husband on the early morning hours of May 24th with our precious little Avery Magnolia. Six weeks after she was born, we moved back home to Birmingham, AL from the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, NC (which we desperately miss now). We moved into my grandmother's old house till we found one that we liked. Then we moved again when she was 4 months old into our current house. So by the time she was 4 months old, she had had 3 nurseries, lol.

So, fast forward to present day, I now have a sweet as pie, 9 1/2 month old. She is crawling all over the place and pulling up on anything she can, including the cat. She has 4 teeth on top and 2 on bottom. Unfortunatley today, those top teeth busted her top lip when she crawled over me and landed face first. The first thing I saw was blood on the blanket we were sitting on, and yes! I paniced. But after a few wales of crying, she was just fine. I gave her a frozen teether and luckily she knawed on it for a while.
Her favorite thing to do these days is play in the tupperware cabinet, which I'm sure drives her Daddy crazy. He can be a little OCD about the house. Here are some pics of her cabinet adventures.

I was also able to take a few cute pics of her today just playing around the house. And yes, she still had on her PJ's and yes, she has a bow in her hair with the PJ's, only b/c I'm trying to figure out which barettes stay in her hair the best.

Here are pics from when our friends Tiffany, Lockette & little Zoe came to visit for the weekend. Ella is also in some of these pics.

Here are pics of her nursery b/c we've done some updating.

And here is just some random cuteness.....

  1. You are getting good at this girl!! What a great post. Doesn't it feel good to get it all out? I can tell just by your writing how much you are missing NC. Can you guys go back, sell the house? Hang in there. Hopefully we can come for some more frequent visits this spring/summer. We can take the girls to the zoo or to the lake or picnic, whatever. Love all the pictures of Avery. So funny, we were all just playing in that cabinet not to long ago!!
